What Happens on Your Free Consultation
1️⃣
We listen first
You tell us about your child — their diagnosis, how they learn, what's worked, and what hasn't. There's no script and no pressure to enroll.
2️⃣
We answer TEFA questions
Not sure how the IEP-based disability award (up to $30,000), Odyssey, or vendor-direct payment works? We walk Texas families through the whole process — even if you haven't applied yet.
3️⃣
We suggest a tutor match
If it feels like a fit, we recommend a certified special education tutor matched to your child's needs, learning style, and schedule. You decide from there.
The call takes about 15–20 minutes. If TEFA isn't the right fit for your family, we'll tell you — and point you to resources like our complete TEFA guide or disability funding guide so you leave with answers either way.
Consultation Questions, Answered
Does the consultation cost anything?
No. The consultation is completely free, and there's no commitment. It's a conversation to see whether we're the right fit for your child.
Do I need to have my TEFA award approved first?
No. Many families talk to us while they're still applying or waiting for the next application window. We can explain how the application works, how the IEP-based disability award works (and how to request a district evaluation if your child doesn't have an IEP yet), and what tutoring will look like once your funds are active.
Will I pay anything out of pocket for tutoring?
Families with an active TEFA award pay nothing out of pocket. As a TEFA-approved vendor, we bill directly through the Odyssey platform and the Texas Comptroller pays us — no reimbursement paperwork.
What should I have ready for the call?
Nothing is required, but it helps to know your child's diagnosis, grade level, and biggest academic struggles. If you have an IEP, a recent evaluation, or ARD paperwork, keep them handy — they help us recommend the right tutor.
